Stronglight 99 factory drilled

Brooks Flyer

This bike was super cheap, so to set it up for hills I splurged on the Stronglight crank from France and retapped the pedal threads English. Works well, the chain will drag the front derailler unless your in a big rear cog, but if your using the granny you should be in a big rear cog.

Double or triple-chainring?

It almost looks like a cyclotouriste gearing. The Stronglight 99 is like the TA Pro V bis; you can do a "half-step plus granny" gearing - something like 52/48/32, which gets you a lot of variation in cruising gears, with a set of really low bailout gears. But drillium's wicked cool...

Yeah its a triple

With 52/42/34 on it. I ride my roadbikes in west st. louis county on some super steep hills so I really need low gearing.

nice bike; hello horse!
