I was kind of bummed when I bought this because I thought I was getting a ready to go rider and it needed some work. It is really a sweet bike and as I have gotten into old British club bikes I realize it was a pretty good bargain.

I am envious of your Cyclo Benelux rear derailleur. I have a 1959 Raleigh Lenton Grand Prix model 7. (I guess this was branded before short brands came into vogue). Mine is all original except for the rear derailleur (currently a Huret Jubilee). It has the suicide shifter for the front which works much better than I expected. I haven't decided if it is a keeper yet.

Absolutely beautiful. I would love something like this. Pre-war, and pre-war styled bikes have really caught my interest lately.
