I don't understand this new concept where people ride pursuit geometry frames and put tall stem and riser combos on them. Why even ride a bike with a sloping down tube? Cause that one tube looks cool? Volthause, have you ever tried your bike with a regular stem and maybe bullhorns? It's probably not as bad as you think.

have you ever ridden a funny bike?

vintage time trial bikes have a very unique feel to them no matter what type of stem or bars you put on them. they are very stable and fast. besides, they DO look cool, and what's wrong with that? don't get on this website and start bashing on people's bikes, which they have put time and money into to get them how THEY want. if you don't like it, don't get one like it an don't look at other peoples'.

Bikes are tools, and they perform work when a force is applied to them. I pedal, the bike moves. It performs this function and as a byproduct I get many benefits. Among them are enjoyment, transportation and a certain level of fitness.

It doesn't matter why type bars or stem I put on the bike, it still performs its functions flawlessly.

The most telling part of your frisky, verbal jaunt through this page is where you start the sentence, "Why even ride a bike...". Think that through some more and the answer should always contain the three benefits I listed above.

Stop taking bikes so seriously and just go ride and enjoy.

Thank you.

Amen to that!

what a waste of a bike in

what a waste of a bike in this setup .. If you have a pursuit frame.. put bullhorns and a normal stem on there. Your compensating for the sloping downtube with the retarded riser stem and riser bars, just get a normal frame if thats what your trying to achieve .

and then there was...

Absolutely. You should do everything you can to avoid riding, using or otherwise enjoying bikes.

This bike was MUCH more useful hanging on a peg in a garage.
