48x15 sounds fine to me.

86.4"

Yea but this guy is running

Yea but this guy is running 48:16, which is like 77" or so. And unless you like to spin, that's kinda light for the track unless he's a junior and is restricted.

80-85 GI is good if you're just starting. Sprinters from what I've seen run 88"-92". Time Trial/Pursuit are 94"-100" I'd guess.

Keiran has the highest average. According to the great Tomity 90"-100" is the average and the highest is 55:12, which is 120 fucking inches.

restricted at 85", but its

restricted at 85", but its winter so i am trying to love the spin, get my leg speed up,

not to knock your bike or

not to knock your bike or anything, its sick, but wouldnt you want a higher gear ratio if you're riding velo only? I was riding 48/15 on the street for a while

Have you raced track before?

48x15 is fine. At a lot of tracks, that's nearly the highest gear you can use at the 4/5 level.
