In Florida the majority of races are criteriums. This bike is perfect for that. The frame is a unique alu/carbon mix. The top tube, head tube, and about 1/4 of the downtube is carbon. The seat stay and post are carbon too, the rest is ALU. This material combo along with the T-shape top tube, dynamic form of the downtube, small rear trianagle, a thick ALU BB and chain stays make it a demon for accelerations. Weighs in at about 15.5lbs. Not bad for a sprinter.

I think it'd be cool if BMC

I think it'd be cool if BMC actually released these in a raw alu/carbon edition with just the bmc logo on the downtube.

Whereabouts in Florida? I'm from Tampa originally.

Really nice frame!

BMC does some cool, high-tech frames and nice graphics. Cool bike!

Sick!

What kind of rims? SO mostly the chainstays are alu? Is the downtube a sort of composite or is it bonded? Nice short wheelbase. Stiff in all the right places. Definately a sprinter.

The wheels are American

The wheels are American Classic 420s, they make very light wheelsets for the price. The 420s cost about ,000 but are lighter than sets costing ,600. The downtube is aluminum bonded to carbon, but the joint is where the white paint stops and the black BMC logo begins. Putting it further down the tube makes the headtube joints stronger, so it's stiffer where it needs to be.

BMC has got it going on!
