Bike used to be blue but was so badly scratched I just stripped off the rest of the paint. I bought this bike as a single speed with a cottered crank since the LBS stripped off all the cool stuff so now it's a fixie.

stripping paint

hi, i have a bergmeister as well and i have a question about paint stripping . did you use jasco or some other strong paint stripper ?
your berg came out beautiful . oh yes it's true !

Stripping Paint

Thank you. I just used regular wood stripper from the hardware store, nothing special. It seems that the paint was so thin it was more like nail polish and came off easily. The job didn't take very long to do.
