Dec. 7
Rides like a Bianchi Pista but with slightly slower handling. Very stiff frame but fairly heavy in part due to the full chrome underneath the paint. I lost about 1 pound and felt less vibration with the Wound Up fork. More photos soon.

The Madison inherits the Gel Flow Flite, Sette carbon post, 3T ARX Pro stem, 3T Rotundo bars and pedals off my cross bike. Saddle-to-hood drop is 5.5" (14cm) but comfortable while mashing. It was super stiff and fast on my 2.5 hour ride in 25 deg weather this morning. Brakes installed.

Dec. 29
Frame is stripped down to the chrome. Flop and chop bars.

Jan. 21
I've installed a Avid SAAGO stem. And 52cm wide (cut) risers with big sweep. Origin 8 track grips.

I'm considering a crankset and bottom bracket upgrade to get a 165mm crankset and 49t ring for more skid patches. The Truvativ Touro is a fine - just aesthetically bankrupt.

I went back to the stock fork. Shopping for Nitto classic drop bars now.

April 12
brooks and noodle drops.

Weight

The wheel, fork, and pedals must have lightened that bike up a ton. What's it weighing in at now?

weight

Currently it weighs 18 lbs. Not particularly light but weight was not a huge concern.

Brake setup

Does anybody sell a brake hood with no lever that you can put in place of the superfluous right Tektro lever?

I chose to take both Aeros off my Madison and just use a Tektro RL726 top bar lever. I couldn't believe it when I took delivery of the bike and found the rear brake cable *zip-tied* to the top tube.

Tektro levers

On the Tektro levers you can just tap out the pin that holds the brake lever on with a hammer and screw driver or something and just have the hood with no lever. I think it's even cheaper than buying the stoker dummy levers.

hoods

Why don't you try removing the lever from the right hood - that way you won't have to buy anything and you will have two symmetrical hoods for hand consistent hand placement.

The zip ties are common practice in fixed gear bikes because they generally lack cable stop braze-ons for cleaner lines. (This is much preferred for me.)

MIN

Can you buy and ship a woundup fork and a trispoke to me?

HED

Get rid of that trendy front wheel & you'll drop 4 to 5 pounds

that wheel

weighs way less than your average 32h wheel. by like ~250 grams

Correct. The HED3 weighs

Correct. The HED3 weighs 820 grams, which is 1/2 pound lighter than the stock front wheel.

That's pretty sweet! Do you

That's pretty sweet! Do you know what stem that is?

-Jordan

It's just the stock stem.

It's just the stock stem.
