Nothing fancy but it's always ridden great and never given me and problems. Probably the most solid of any bike I've had. Would like to replace the frame with something nicer eventually, KHS pursuit or aerotrack preferrably. I may then turn this into a single speed with riser bars as the frame is a little to small for me now. Cranks aren't anything special but with the 107 bottom bracket it gives me a straight chainline on the outside ring!

bottom bracket

are you using a shimano un54 68x107 bottom bracket? I have those same cranks and can't find any info on them. Also, is your chainline 42mm? Thanks.

bars

aren't those bullhorns uncomfortable when tilted forward like that?

Riding on the ends would be

Riding on the ends would be a little more comfortable if they were level, but I spend just about all my time on the tops a couple inches from the stem, they are angled slightly down and back, so tilting the bars down just a little makes them feel pretty much perfect by giving them just a little more backsweep. Plus the ends of the bars have that little lip on them, so I just put my hands there and it evens out!

well that makes sense. My

well that makes sense. My rb-021s would be a candidate for that if I only rode up top, but I only ride on the ends.

Why not try some risers towards you? In my oppinion, it would look better. That is just me though.

I occassionally get the urge

I occassionally get the urge to use riser bars, and it goes well for a day or two, and then I get real tired of sitting that upright. as far as tilting the risers, I think riser bars at any angle but 90 degrees upward looks worse than anything else you could possibly do. A lot of kids here like to angle them forward and it's driven me nuts since it started.

PixBurgh

Up the pittsburgh riders...we never get the bragging rights we deserve! i just moved to philly and im missing the hills and actually having a challenging ride. it only takes 15 minutes to get anywhere in this city its so fucking flat! keep it real on those hills!! up the 412!

what size frame are you

what size frame are you rockin?

It's the smallest size, 49cm

It's the smallest size, 49cm to the top, and 52cm top tube. A little too short but I keep the seat a little low and pushed back so it evens out. I've grown pretty fond of the short headtube though. At some point I want to switch all the parts to a nicer frame regardless.

nice whip. That crankset

nice whip. That crankset really makes the bike look solid.

Who are you?

I'm sure I know you, but I just can't put a face to your name (or bike). Are you out at alleycats in PGH? In the back room of Kraynick's more than you probably should be?

yeah, I don't know, I'm in

yeah, I don't know, I'm in kraynicks all the time, but I haven't been there hanging out in the back room to much lately, I'm usually at races, I don't think I'll make the one on the 21st, but I'll be at the afterparty once I get out of work at 5. I've been debating painting my bike white, and putting blue tires/bartape on it, but you kinda ruined that for me. haha

yeah

I just saw your bike on myspace forum. I was only wondering what the model was because I'm about to buy some, and I hope they are the ones that you have because they look nice.

from what I can remember

from what I can remember there's 3 different sizes as far as the drop goes, there's some that are perfectly flat, there's the one on mine that drop a good bit, and then the one's are are in the middle, like the ones on this bike http://velospace.org/node/1594

and I think they're the 38cm wide ones too,

??

what syntace bars are those?

i'm not sure, the ones they

i'm not sure, the ones they used to sell at chucksbikes.com for .50. I can measure some stuff if you have any specific questions, but i'm not sure of a model number or anything

They look to be Syntace

They look like Syntace Stratos. The Stratos bars come in zero (0 drop), 200 (5 degree drop), and 400 (15 degree drop. I've used the Stratos 200 on past Triathlon bikes and really liked it, until Vision Tech came out with a base bar.

Here's the link: http://www.syntace.com/index.cfm?pid=3&pk=360

Hope that helps....

alright, then yeah, they are

alright, then yeah, they are the stratos, and they're definately the 400's, and my girlfriend has the 200's on her white bike I showed you. I used to have the ones she has on my bike, and they were alright, but I definately like the deeper drop better, if for no other reason, I just think they look better,
