Technomic Stems Rule!

I just switched to the Nitto Technomic, and I also am digging it. I don't know how all these kids stay on these track bikes with the saddle a whole foot higher than the bars...

i'm guessing their commute

i'm guessing their commute consists of riding to the local bar, getting smashed and taking a taxi home :)

How does it ride? A lot of people rip on 'em, but their ripping seems to be based on photos exclusively (IE the appearance poor manufacturing quality).

BTW, the bags you make are sweet, I might hit you up for one at some point if I find the money.

Hey rRooster - the ride is

Hey rRooster - the ride is okay. I think it really comes down to the quality of your components though. I had a really stripped down version of this bike a couple of months ago; cheap cranks, cheap pedals, cheap saddle, etc, and it felt horrid. After doing a lot of research and upgrading a number of parts the ride is a lot better. I do a lot of up/down curbs and popping the front tire to go over potholes and whatnot, and I don't know if you've seen the video of this kid breaking the sparton fork trying to do a reverse bunny hop but I'm paranoid about it cracking like that so I try not to abuse it.

If you want a bag let me know. It shouldn't cost more than like 40 or 50 at the most for the materials and I'm making them free of charge right now.

Yeah, I saw the bunny hop

Yeah, I saw the bunny hop video. I'm actually looking for something in the aluminum flavor, probably a leader, because I need a stiffer ride. I was mostly curious. Either way, cool.

funny, I was just looking at

funny, I was just looking at the leader website thinking about getting a new frame myself. I think I'm over the aesthetic of the steel frame, I'm starting to really like the thick aluminum frames.

plus the fact that I'd have to replace the fork on this thing if I needed a new front tire since it only takes 700x20 if you want to run a brake which sucks
