I got this as a 105/Ultegra 9 spd and have upgraded to all Ultegra 10 spd with carbon handlebar from Easton, and all blue trim. I ride the DC team gear to include DC Giro Atmos and blue and silver Nike carbon shoes; and I am ordering a custom pair of blue and silver Oakleys.

Trek 1500 Discovery Channel

Do you still love the bike? I have riden the BP MS150 on a '93 Vintage Trek 730 Hybrid for the last 3 years and am looking at the Trek 1500 DC as an option. If you are not familiar with MS 150 it is a 2 day ride from Houston to Austin to benefit MS research. Do you still have your bike and what do you think of same? Is it a fairly light bike? My First Road Bike

I had been looking at getting a road bike for months when I walked into my LBS in D.C. (Revolution Cycles) and saw this Trek in DC Team paint. I got the bike on closeout for 0, and spent another 00 in accessories. Now I am going to dress it up. I thought about just buying a better bike but a better bike's not going to make me any faster - plus I love this bike and get a lot of comments. - aka The Bike Ninja
