Bianchi Celeste Selle Italia TriMatic and Shimano 600 Aero seatpost

This is a 1986, unless someone cares to tell me otherwise. Apparently the Sugino 75 CHCD crankset is rare...have yet to see another. Other than that, I added almost-matching road fork to accompany the safety of a front brake, but I still have the original one. It rides as good as it looks, if not better.

Crank/chainring

Where did you get that crank/chainring combo?! I've never seen anything like that from Sugino. I'm in love. Do you think there's any more of those floating around?

waaawooo nice crankset lucky

waaawooo nice crankset lucky butt

'86 Pista Friends!

I just got one too that I'm pretty sure is an '86. Does yours have the 1986-1987 world champ colorado springs decal on the downtube? what is the serial? mine begins with a C, which according to a couple sources does put it at 1986. (it goes Y=82, Z=83, A=84, B=85, C=86, D=88, and so on.) here's the page from the '86 catalog: http://www.bulgier.net/pics/bike/Catalogs/Bianchi-86/3.jpg

someone along the line drilled my fork and added rivnuts for a bottle cage mount. in a way im kinda glad for that since i do a lot of long rides and live in texas.

just noticed it doesnt have

just noticed it doesnt have the world champ decal or made in italy decal. where'd they go?

Fork works!

Although it may not be original, the colors of that fork add a whole lot of character, methinks.

wish they still made 'em

wish they still made 'em like this. modern bianchi pistas have gone a long way..down.

thanks, now i have to go

thanks, now i have to go change my boxers...

Hot Celeste!

Those are some serious climbing gears!! Great looking ride.

75 carbon cranks

someone else just posted their 80's pista today and called it a 1986 pista...could yours be the same?

omg. that sugino crankset is so rare. so jealous...

i'm also jealous of the whole bike, i've wanted the older celeste pista... nice ride!
