Shigeru Nakagawa learned framebuilding at the Zunow bicycle factory in Osaka. He established Nakagawa Cycle Works in 1983 but chose not to seek NJS certification which would limit his style, fittings & materials. Known mainly for road frames and pursuit geometry 'funny bikes', Nakagawa frames have unique angled offset fork crowns that allow for straight fork blades, custom lugs & BB shells, 'bent' seat-stays & chain-stays and usually pressed steel seat tubes for a super short wheel base. Pink and white are the standard Nakagawa factory colors.
