42/18, and you need aerobars for what?

bouncing out of your saddle...

christ almighty you must spin out your gear in two seconds flat on the aeros. i would definately not want to go down a steep hill with that gearing.
super nice build though, esp for number one. you learn alot. throw a bigger gearing on that beast and take to the track then those aerobars will be really fun.

to be really useful you need to gear it up to atleast the high-mid 80s. i find them most useful running like 48/15 or 50/15, or cutting the wind (its always useful then.
not trying to be an ass, i like your ride, but there is nothing like spinning out a huge gear in the aerobars.

Thanks for the tips...the part that i left out is that this setup is primarily for when I use the stationary trainer...for the street I have a straight bar/stem... when my cogs come in Ill be able to achieve a low 70s/low 80s ratio with a 42x 15/13 set up. Ill remember your comment when I run the TT bars on the streets.
