I have big plans for this bike. This is my first non-BMX bike ever. I cannot believe how lite this thing is and how easy it is to ride beyond far. I knew before buying it that the top tube would be long, but I'm a bit shocked on just how big this bike really is.
- Wheels: First things first, I want to get rid of this wheelset. It is too damn nice for me, haha. I shred around town and like to drop off curbs if I need to. Vegas streets are pretty damn rough too, so I don't want to damage these! I need a set of 32 or 36 4 cross wheels as soon as possible.
-Stem/Bars: I plan to swap out the stem from the 100mm to an 80mm to shorten up the reach just a bit. The drop bars are awesome and they are here to stay.
-Seat/Post: I hope to get a Pivotal BMX seat for cushion and simplicity. They are making Pivotal posts in 27.2mm now that fit road bikes! I suggest you look into it.
-Odyssey iPedals are already on order. I don't like plastic pedals for BMX use, but they will go perfectly on my road bike. Clear Graphite color.
-Dropping the freewheel down to a 15 or 16 tooth in the near future. I like the ease of the 18t, but even in BMX I prefer to run a stiffer gear ratio of 25/8. That would probably look ridiculous on a road bike.
-Paint: I am always one to mix things up when it comes to painting my bikes. I plan to get the frame powder coated flat silver, and the rest of the parts or going to be black or white.
-Updates soon.
