My haulin-shit bike. Panniers are a combination of Ortlieb and Arkel. Surly Nice Front Rack up front. Rivendell basket ziptied to the front (it is ALL about the basket I can't even tell you. Front loading FTW.) Tubus Logo rear rack. Shellac'd bars over synthetic cork. Sick Johnny. Sick I tell you.

Who makes that badass front rack? I was thinking of getting an Old Man Mountain lowrider, but that doesn't give that extra space to attach gear above the wheel.

It's a Surly Nice Front Rack. And it's, well, nice. But what a bitch to mount.

Other front racks I've come to like a great deal - CETMA Racks. That 5 post is pretty sick.

i nearly bought a lht but i was offered a half price trek 520 and went for that. have you done much touring on it? it looks alot nicer than the 520.

That 520 is a fine animal. Unless it's busted up, I wouldn't feel bad to have one at all, esp at half price!. Nice find.
