This has been called a UJB: Universal Japanese Bike. As near as I can tell, Hunter was a Florida company which imported framesets made by Kuwahara or another comapny like it, and then built them up with mid- to high-level components. This is a sweet ride; everything is 1986/87 Shimano 105, including brakes and hubs. And this is the shot from the auction site; I'll update it shortly. The old school Look pedals are gone, the tires are Continental blackwall (with the Kevlar belt, since this is a commuter ride, too ...) the hoods and bar tape are black, and I've put on a newer saddle ....
