ahh, this bike is so pretty. reminds me of my benotto, pre-single speed (as the pictures show). if it were me, i'd convert it. save ya a few lbs and if you like riding fixed or freewheel, then do it!! and screw the naysayers, as long as you keep all of those parts (which you should undoubtedly do!) then you can always put it back to how it was. might as well try! i did it & i loooooove my SS.
