you should always run a back brake for safety, so for this bike, the brake cable braze-ons are super functional.

"i love the basket drillings in the rear stays'sss" and "nice basket mounts" on every mercier kilo you comment on leads me to asking you this...

how are the "basket mounts" as you call them, any more annoying (or ugly) then the brake cable braze-ons on your masi?

the "basket mounts" are far less noticeable in sight and size then the giant"brake cable braze-ons" hanging from you masi's top tube.

Seems to me with your high attention to detail, and your hate of the "basket mounts" you would be out in your garage right now cutting those hideously large brake cable braze-ons off.

so when your done cutting them off let know your reasoning for hating.

yeah, I agree. you have an entry level track bike too, who are you to be passing judgment? And what the fuck do basket mounts have to do with riding. I know the Mercier is an entry level bike but I worked hard for it and ride it hard everyday.
