58cm Raleigh steel, lugged, heavy.

Profile 42cm TT bars on Profile H20 stem. Profile Design wrap, Shimano 600 non-aero brakes.

Raleigh steel cottered crankset, single bolts. I didn't mess with that bb.

Cionli saddle on pipe post. I've since found a better post, just haven't swapped it in.

Wellgo alloy quills w/clips and straps. KMC chain I had lying around

Big ring on front, 18 on rear. Cogs would not come off, so they stay.

My friend Brad has had this bike since new, and the conversion gave it new life.

Thanks so much for your kind comment.

I'm likely going to swap in a set of Araya alloys for the present.

I think I've got him talked into the Weinman DP18 blue deep V's, which will make a huge difference.

The brakes kind of have to stay, I can't get an aero lever to work too well with the 180 in the cable. I thought about reversing them, but Brad didn't like that look.

What he doesn't know is I picked up a Shimano 600 crankset. That will be a huge difference.

He's buying my Diamondback, too.

Now we've got a group of 45-55 year olds who single-speed around a golf course, and also hit the roads when time permits.
