That these bikes were developed because autos are "illegal" in Christiania. Once again, they are thousands of steps ahead of the rest of the world.

I visited the free state of Christiania back in 1990. I found it by accident. I rented a bike and randomly explored, ended up there. Wow.

I was super impressed with all the cargo bikes in Copenhagen.

i have to of this bike, the brown one has a shimano nexus 5 speed, the camouflage 3 speed torpedo... tjeck http://www.christianiabikes.dk/ there is one whit derailleurs to!!!
