I have seen pics of other models like this one but they all have cursive font for the Bottecchia logo. I bought this used on concession at a bike shop about 7 years ago, and at the time it had a near mint paint job despite being more than 10 years old. Now I am thinking that maybe it had been repainted and the decals replaced with block lettering. Anyone got any thoughts on that?

Your bike is amazing !! w/ great pictures as well... I am trying to sell mine but need someone to help me find details on it. I am searching the web like crazy but cant find info Im looking for. If you have any time can you take a quick look at my pix and tell me what you think it's worth?

Bottecchia...

This is a factory paint and decal scheme. I used to have on red and that powder white color with the curvy lettering and also one with the block lettering. You can search for other Bottecchias on this site and see what I mean. It's funny though, because a lot of the fine classic steel Bottecchias are fixed coversion. It's sort of a bummer. Greg Lemond won his last Tour on a Bottecchia. They're a rare ROAD bike and look wonderful with derailleurs.

THERE WAS A FRAME FOR SALE ON E=BAY SOME TIME BACK BY ORIGINAL OWNER WITH THE SAME LETTERING. LOOK GREAT ANY WAY. IF YOU WANT THE PICS LET ME KNOW.
