I haven't riden with a coaster in so long. Your bike looks like a superhero. Fender = cape, bullhorns = arms. Blue helps too. Nice bike.

And that's about all it's good for.

You guys realise that in order to actually protect the rider from shit that sprays up off the rear wheel -- which is, like, what a fender is actually for -- it would have to be mounted much closer in to the wheel, don't you?

absolutely

Check out my bikes. Full fenders on all of them, mounted as close as possible/practical to the wheels. It's one thing to be rained on, but it's something else entirely to be soaked from below, with all the grit and grease the roads have to offer. Way better to keep it where it belongs -- on the road.

the fender actually works

the fender actually works pretty well. i has vertical adjustment so i can put it much closer to the back wheel. however it works fine where it is now. i just wish i had clearance for a front fender.
