Astra, partly lugged steel frame (head lug has Motobecane logo)
Original Pivo forged Al stem with lugged motif, chrome steel bars
Original headset, steel forks with eyelets for rack and fender, crown is covered with chrome cap with Motobecane symbol
Chrome steel rim and high flange Normandy Al hub with wingnuts!
Chrome steel rim and high flange Normandy Al hub with one wingnut, and original 5 speed freewheel (new grease!)
Original french bb and chrome plated forged steel Nervar cottered cranks- real pretty
Original leather saddle was crispy, and fell apart in my hands, I replaced it with vinyl one I had lying around
Lyotard rat-trap pedals (no clips), and a new Sachs chain
2 in the front and 5 in the rear!

Cute little bike. I found it in a garbage pile several years ago and finally got around to fixing it up. I cleaned it up, and replaced all the grease. I trued the rims (some), and replaced the cable housing, and the chain. I took extra time to remove the rust from the cranks, on account of how pretty they are. I removed the "suicide" brake levers, and can't figure out how they go back on! Some would say that is best. It has the longest shifter levers I've ever seen, I think they're cool. Huret rear derailer is pretty, and it seems to work despite all the hate.
