1983 Bianchi Nuovo

Bianchi or Campy, whatever came on the bike

Bianchi

IRO Standard

IRO Standard Wheel

Bianchi (stock, again)

Random seatpost, random saddle ("Vetta VSA")

Crank Brothers eggbeaters, KMC ZChain Z610HX 3/32" BMX chain

IRO cog and lockring. Bianchi chainring(s). I run on the 42 in front and a 16 in back.

This bike was free, given to me by my previous supervisor. It had been sitting in his barn for about 10 years. I overhauled the entire bike, repainted it and converted it to a fixie. Overall, I'm pretty happy with it. It needs a little work (seat, seatpost, bottom bracket, and the headset is a little choppy), but I enjoy it. I've also added a spoke card. The entire process was photographed, and can be seen here: http://altbit.org/gallery/main.php?g2_itemId=69

This is my first fixed gear, and my first road bike.

Stock?

I love this bike awesome, however just a few comments. When you say stock or Bianchi do you mean high end Campagnolo? Because looking at the bike it looks like it was top of the range in its day. Bars and stem prob Cinelli and I hope you have not powder coated the bottom cup of a record headset?

Would be great to see it with original decals again and the B on top of the forks brought out.

Nice work on the build.

that's where his top tube cover is. it's not a pista, so he doesn't do bar spins, so he doesn't fall on his penis so he doesn't need a top tube cover.

but he's prepared for when he finds a b.pista in the basement of some east coast bike shop. JUST SITTING THERE!
