Mercier Blackula [SOLD]

Firstly, I had just come off riding road bikes exclusively. So I built and rode a conversion for like a week and a half and knew that I had to step it up. I built a nice pista that was stolen some time later. So, effectively, this was the first track bike for me. Got from ebay, which seemed like a good idea at first but in retrospect translates to paying 350 for a frameset as all the parts basically reeks. Anyway, its not all bad..except for the wheels and bars and everything else. By the time I sold it the only stock component left was the HS. The 1st photo is as I sold it. Served me well through several months nyc commuting and two crashes(that I can remember; once doored) I eventually needed something a lot lighter but this one was very comfortable for what it was. I was sorry to let the wheelset go. Mostly it was a fun and educational build but it had to go to make room...
