...whatever, If you like that ugly pad, rock that ugly pad. I have this same frame '75, it's amazing and there's nothing I would rather ride no matter what pad was on it. I have a Burberry scarf. I wonder if I wore it while I was riding mine, some one would shout "take off that scarf now!" Ben Sherman's throw up is hilarious though. -Sugary_Otis

Retraction -there may be a handfull of bikes (see below) that I would rather ride. It really isn't an attractive paintjob at all. The 74-73 paintjob is beautiful however.

I give you credit for the excellent bike and nice tongue in cheek retort. Sadly, they're 100% right on the pad in this instance. I have to admit, it looks positively absurd on such a bike that needs no gimcrackery, spoke litter, purple Deep V Meetoo, sticker shock bravado. It's not a dumpster conversion with powder coat. It's like putting curb feelers on a '68 911.
