i just bought it like this. the previous owner put on a new handlebar and gear shifters. i'm thinking of making it a fixxie but i'm not sure yet.
wish list: brown brooks leather saddle. brown hand grips. new big wheels and slick tyres

I say don't fix it, it'd be

I say don't fix it, it'd be a shame of a well preserved roadbike like this. Instead, change the handlebars for a set of dropbars and maybe a set of Shimano STI shifters, you'll be honoring a piece of bicycle history and you'll be faster than a fixed gear bicycle.
edit: and lose the stand ;)
