One of many bikes I raced and trained on in the early-mid 80's to early 90's, this is the only one I kept from that era. My son has some of the others. This one hasn't seen much action in a decade, recently pulled it down to clean and replace cables. I don't intend to ride it much; I also have a modern-era alum roadbike w/ Dura-Ace. Shopping for a fixie too. I'm an ol' retired cat III, recently coming around to loving the bikes again. Cheers.

Nice Chesini, good to see another road bike complete. I'm presently restoring an X Uno complete with pantographed parts (Campag Delta's, Cranks & 3ttt Stem), should be complete by August. They are pretty unique bicycle you don't see many around.

Nice to meet other Chesini owners; not many around as you said. Good luck with your X-Uno project, I look forward to seeing her when she's complete, should be a real beauty with the Deltas/pantographing on there.

I suggest substituting the c-record shifters by a matching Super Record model. The chain seems to be to long...

You have a very good eye. I still have 2 sets of original Super Record shifters for this bike, just need to get around to putting them back on. (Ft. derailleur cable runs inside the downtube and inside BB shell, so it's a bit of a PITA to change, lol.) For flat-course crit racing and TT's back in the day, we always ran 2 extra chain links...for less driveline tension when running in the big ring only. A real good team mechanic taught me that, for use with Nuovo-Record or Super-Record derailleurs. Heh, maybe seems silly now w/ index shifting, but that's a true story! Take care Z.
