I bought this bike as a road bike off one of my old bosses when he was moving. Got it for fifty bucks -- it had an old DA front Der and old Campy shifters. Add some wheels from Bike World and parts from Nashbar and Harris Cyclery and there it is. It does have a front brake -- old Shimano 600 from eBay paired with a cheap avid brake lever. I've only had this bike done for a couple of months, but it's a ton of fun to ride.
