Really Cool dude!

This is the first ocean ive

This is the first ocean ive seen aside from the promo photos, look great.

I love this

I love this

nice, how much does the bike

nice, how much does the bike weigh all together?

first?

is this the first ocean on velospace?

they certainly are pretty.

how is that steel? I have some Kaisei 8130 double butted tubing on my reminton, it is super light, but kind of flexy.

Flexy smooth sophisticated feel

I specified smaller diameter tubing to get that lovely flex the Keirin riders prefer. As anticipated, it is very flexy and responsive as well as being lighter.

It amazes me how much nuance there is in frame material, design and construction. My Makino has nearly the same geometry and tubing as this Ocean, but the feel between the two bikes is demonstrably different.

This may be the first Ocean on Velospace, but I'm sure that won't be for long. Kusaka-san is a skilled builder and I'm sure word of his talents will spread.

Ride well.

tubes

Loving the bike, especially that paint job.

My Anchor had Kaisei 8630 tubing and it is indeed light as hell for steel and a little flexy, just like you guys said... I always figured my KHS was a little stiffer with the larger diameters, but not quite as fast at a heavier weight and less fancy components.

Kaisei is the shit though! Just be careful not to dent it, it's super thin walls.

steel

I meant to type 8630.

The walls are certainly thin.
