This is my first fixed gear project. As far as I can tell it is a 1984 Schwinn Traveler that I scooped at a garage sale for ten bucks. When I got it, it had an old rotten huffy top tube protector, and a rusted schwinn rack on the back and really was pretty uggo. But the frame cleaned up nice is a solid 4130 cromoly with nice lugs and was just my size.

I've been adding parts for about 5 months as I have money available. I'm still wanting to upgrade my brakes, BB, and headset, but other than that I'm almost done.

When I put this bike up for the winter I'm probably gonna have a buddy powder coat it Maroon. I had originally thought i do it up in blue but the maroon has really grown on me.

Pic 3: Photo of bike before my new saddle, crank and chainring, I was running off the 39t inner chainring that came on the bike.

I'm

about to start a new project bike tomorrow, its gonna be my first one. I was wondering, how did you take the chain and shifters off. Also, is it s a bitch to remove the crankset?
