Peugeot PH10LE. HLE manganese alloy frame, less one mashed carbolite fork

original stem, random drops with shitty, pretty Benotto tape

Simonetti 700c fork. AL? I don't know

Sun M13 II, some alloy hub & a Galli brake

Alex RP15F, another alloy hub & a Campy brake

Old Dura Ace 53-42

Velo saddle at the moment. Goddamned 23.8mm seatpost sourced through Ebay from Austria

Cheap Sylvan knock-offs/new chain

12-23 8spd cassette Shimano rear, 42-53 Dura Ace front, Shimano 600 derailleurs

I was thinking about selling this frame I found on the street awhile back and put together with odd parts both on hand and sourced through Ebay. I was looking online trying to determine the model when I came across duprejohn's 'beater, beaten'. Huh. That looks real familiar. Turns out he lives around the corner from me.
So I now know it's a pedigreed killer and death-trap with blood on it's hands, and yet I like the way it rides. I'm on the fence about getting rid of it, it's nice to have at least one geared bike-- you never know when a hill might suddenly spring up in NYC.
Aside from the stem, nothing on this bike is original or 'correct'. Definitely not a ride for you Peugeot-philes out there.
SOLD! 5/17

goddamned 23.8mm seatpost

You say you sourced this through eBay from Austria?

I am in the same predicament with a Peugeot Monaco (84-88?)

I'd really like to make it work but I can't find anything but recommendations for poorly jerry-rigging a different seatpost to fit.

Searched ebay: nothing
Searched craigslist (although in that case more for a junk 80s peugeot I could harvest): nothing

How did you ultimately find one?

Gears are great!

Even if some unnamed people don't think so.

Lion on the fork?

If so, it should get along great with the frame.

Nice bike; nice shots!
