Nishiki Linear

The bike may well be a Nishiki Linear. The top beveled ends of the seatstays should have "NISHIKI" cast into them, at least mine does.

linear...

yes, you very well maybe right. but as you can see, no cast lettering is visible beause of the aftermarket, custom paint job. good stuff.

Its Def a nishiki. with a. . .

Its Def a nishiki. with a non original fork.

GT?

What makes you think it's a GT? The seatstays? Those are called Hellenic stays, and a lot of companies have used them.
Sweet bike, nonetheless.

nashbar

could be an old nashbar frame. seriously.

GT, quite possibly not

Yeah, having the rear tringle attached further on the top tube rather than where the top tube meets the seat tube is signature gt style. Im not familiar with other companies who have done such a thing. It was just a guess, but im looking forward to finding out who really made this frame.

Maybe Russian in origin

I have a bike with what looks to be an identical frame (I'll check measurements when I get home). It's branded 'Maurizio' and all I've been able to find out about it so far is that the Ti frames were imported from Russia to the Netherlands for painting and branding by the company that now male Be-One bikes (Blomson International).

I'll stick up some photos for comparison in the next day or so.
