if anyone here has a SAG bag, or has ever worn one, I would love some input

I am using a chrome citizen (i believe its the citizen, the medium size bag) as a courier, and it just doesn't have enough room to carry everything I need. I've been thinking about either going up to the metropolis or looking at the Large SAG messenger or Airforce1.

SAG looks like a really solid bag, I'm just iffy on the fit. With a chrome bag it feels really locked in, and I like the strap that goes under the arm to the chest-

if anyone could give me their opinion on either bag it would be much appreciated

o and im 5'10 if that means anything

    ehhhhhhhh.
Not sayin they both don't make a nice bag, just sayin you might should look at your options.
SAG life bags are Gucci purses right now and their prices reflect that.

    Here's a few suggestions:

Seagull: Handmade, tough as shit, HUGE, extremely comfortable, only $125!
Ortlieb: The damn finest waterproof messenger backpack made. It's HUGE, very supportive for long work days, and even has a logo window so you can take that shitty hat off and rep your service on your bag (if you actually ride for a company that is... i make no assumptions when kids say they're messengers :), also only $125! (correction: the Messenger is like $125, the Pro is about $180)
ReLoad: They been doin this thing right for about ten years and they make damn good bags. Not the cheapest but some of the nicest. Usually about on par with Chrome bags price wise but I like the quality a lot more.

    Just something to consider

Sag hasnt raised their prices since they've became more popular, same price. I own 2 , and theyre the best imo. My sag rolltop has a million compartments, zippers, reflective material, perfect.

SAG Life basic bags aren't horribly overpriced but I'll be damned if anyone can find one. It's all weird ass special limited editions that cost as much as a frameset.

    Gucci comment stands. :)

Check out TeamWorkBags.com. im sure they would make a sweet bag as big as you want it.

I'm gonna say no. I like what they make their bags out of from an ecological point of view but not from a bag making point of view.
At $165 a pop they need to pro it up a little.
Their largest "messenger" bag has no retention strap! Honestly I can't imagine how nightmarish it would be to have your bag swinging all over the place every time you take a corner at any real speed. Yuck.

if you're worried about size, a sag is not something you should consider.

So I'm threadjacking for a moment.

Who thinks a Chrome citizen will suffice for a decent all-arounder for a college student? I'm going to need to tote a laptop, four classes worth of books and then the biking essentials (tubes, pump, etc.) three days a week. The trek is only about 10 blocks away, uphill a lot but smooth. I almost want to get a Kremlin b/c they've got it on clearance for pretty cheap, but that seems wwaaayyyy too big.

Basically, do I want to get a bag that's twice as big for a buck less?

The seagull bags look like great stuff.
I think I'm going to get one.
    Very affordable, too.

You will not be able to fit all of that stuff in the citizen.
I have one and it is really not as large as you would think it would be.
I can fit a sweatshirt, my lock, a small paper back book, some clif bars, a pair of shoes, and a water bottle and it is a TIGHT squeeze.
    I'm suffering some buyer's remorse.

All in all, go with a larger bag.
The medium seagull bag is almost twice as big as the citizen, costs less, and is not as huge as the kremlin.

Yo Greg let's see about a group buy for a custom Velospace bag from them! Dude that'd be every kinda right and I'm 100% sure we could get at least 10 fools in on it, probably way more. Black bag, Velospace logo across the middle, nothin but class.

Oh word maybe. Did you send me a text? I deleted em all cause my phone was full and I think I deleted like a bunch of new ones.
I gotta clean my house and make this goddamn prize wheel thing for work but otherwise I'm down for ridin.
Just hit me up or roll by the house when you're down this way. I'll be here.
