Ill be there the 29th , I see on their calendar that they have open practice at night ? I wont have my bike , may be borrowing one from someone , will I actually be able to get on the track? would make my trip , thanks -

no, you won't be able to.
you need the certification class that only happens on saturdays (if you schedule one)
and you need full lycra, a helmet, and they advise against clips/straps.
you'll have better luck trying to go to encino.
still need lycra and a helmet, though. -

oh, major bummer. I have a helmet, but no lycra. I dont see the point in that , will under armor work ? -

no. you need bike specific clothing. it's a world class training facility for the us olympic team. -

yeah , I just didnt understand why what I wear would affect anything besides my personal comfort. I guess Ill plan a second trip with all the proper gear. Thanks rabbi ! -

you can always go to encino. they are more lenient.
also, the reason really is that people at adt take track racing very, very seriously. if ou show up to the track without the proper gear, what does that say? they won't let you ride till you have taken the certification class and prove you're skill level on the track is adequate to ride the steep banks of adt. all their rules mostly have to do with the safety of others riding the track. i really don't recommend going to adt if you want to just try out the track.
