I'm sure many of us are faced with this problem. What shoes would be best for winter riding, that are warm and water resistant...but can still slide in/out of the cages on your pedals!
I've always rode the old school slip-on Vans for riding, but now I live in a place that rains/snows and need something warmer and does not soak up water like the Vans.
Essentially, the shoe should be slip-on/laceless, water resistant, warm, and have soles that don't have crazy mountain boot tread that would catch on your pedals/cages.
Thanks! -

I use Forté (Performance's house brand) Traverse 4. They're inexpensive and look snappy for parts of life that take place off a bike. I wear mine all the time. The catch is that they're not waterproof or warm. The metacatch is that they lace low enough that you can sort of resize them for wearing wool socks. I wear Smartwool socks (not as cool as these), which do an astounding job of keeping my feet and shins warm and dry.
