    Hi Guys,
I"m kind of newbie here and putting a new bike together. I'm buying 75 Cranks, 46t Ring, and BB and a EAI Cog 17t for $340. I'm meeting with the guy and need to know what to look for. Is there certain areas I should look at to see if the parts are not up to par? Also is that a decent price? Any Input would help...
    Thanks,
    Andy

you could get all that stuff for less than $340 new. look for a better deal. plus, is it even the matching s75 bb that it comes with, or some other generic downgrade square taper bb?

You can really find all the stuff brand new for less than $340?

that's still a lot. even if everything were in pristine condition, with obviously absolutely no use, you still wouldn't be getting a deal.

Yup. You can get the 75 cranks with a 49t chain ring with a bottom bracket for 340 shipped. The cog would be another 25-30 bucks from somewhere else. If you're picking this up used, definitely haggle him on that cost, otherwise just spend the (literal) few extra bucks and get them new.

And I'm not even sure it would fit my Mark V. Thanks GUYs for the input

Okay the guy agreed on selling the Sugino 75 BB, Cranks, and S75 Chainring w/ EAI 17t Cog for $310. ( less than 50 miles )

The best price I got so far:
NIB Second Hand/ NEW Sugino 75 BB $90
    NIB Sugino 75 165mm Cranks $200
    Used 47t and EAI 18t Cog $95
    Total $385

So A difference of 75 Bucks.... What do you think?

If something is used it has to be at least 1/3 off of the new price before I even start considering it.

I'm selling sugino 75s with a zen chainring and a phil wood bottom bracket on ebay right now, you should see if you can swoop that before you try and buy those other ones. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&item=300330823273#ht_500wt_1182
