I love the look of these, and want to get myself a set ( if possible/ somewhat affordable) Any info would be nice. Looks like a bullhorn/ ski combo?

they're probably dolan, they're probably custom, they're probably over $500, they probably aren't compatible with a quill stem, and you probably don't need them unless you're racing pursuit/time trials at the track.

it seems to me , it would be comfortable for road riding , and doing longer rides. Would be interested to see if anyone mass produced something similar to this.

Hey maybe you should ask VELODROMERAT. He seems to know everything about parts he knows nothing about!
  1.
I bet the bars come for free with the robocop helmet.

I bought some aero bar for $5 once because I thought they'd be comfortable for long rides. They weren't.
  2.
Yeah, aero bars are about aero. They're not comfortable, they're not safe, but they make you faster. It's hard to see where you're going, you're right up next to the stem so little (and accidental) movements have big effects, and your weight is way forward so changing position quickly isn't really an option.

    Bitchin' bars, though.

and they're fast! the aero bars are an option on them. it's not like he'd have to be in them 100% of the ride.

the kind of bars that hoy is using have limited hand positions. they are made to be light.
over long distances, nothing beats a pair of road drops with hoods.
  3.
Ehhh...looks is all that matters. If they look rad, who cares.

They are similar to these... (although his are probably custom made)

Wow. Those bars cost more than most of my bikes.

    They are, indeed cool though.
