Well.. I thought it was an '85, but looks like it may be an '84. It also looks like it's bone-stock. What parts are you looking for or are you looking to upgrade? It was the mid level sport touring bike with the 700 being high and the 90 or 100 being the low end. Triple-butted cromo main tubes with a high tensile fork. The crankset may be tapped for a third chainring.
Here's what the '85 looks like, it should be very similar in most respects.

The rear wheel looks good and you shouldn't have to replace it. The hubs and rims are alloy as is most of the rest of the components. The gears on the rear wheel are called a freewheel and it too should be fine. If anything is in need of replacement, it'll probably be the chain and maybe the derailler (shifts the chain), but deraillers are pretty stout and can probably be loosened up or repaired. Have someone who knows bikes take a look at it before you drop money on it. Take a close pic of the problem areas on it and post them, we'll have a look-see. -

Thanks!
http://tinypic.com/r/20ff5om/5 - Rear derailler (Suntour ARX, very good) and freewheel. Someone has gone to the trouble of changing out the rear quick release axle for a bolt-on probably to keep it from getting stolen easily. The axles slide into what's called a dropout on the frame.
http://tinypic.com/r/jt6g7o/5 - Complete drivetrain. Front derailler (Suntour ARX), crankset looking at it from the chainring side, the chainrings are what your chain rides on. The bottom bracket is what the crankarms bolt to.
http://tinypic.com/r/rsd26d/5 - The non-drive side of the crankset which shows the other side of the front derailler and the crankset/chainrings. Your crank is tapped for a third chainring.
This frame is made from 3 4130 Chrome Molybdenum triple-butted main tubes, single butted rear triangle and high tensile fork. -
