    I was running a cheapo KMC that was ok at best. It was super worn so I replaced it with a sram pc1 which is loud as hell. It was the only 1/8th inch chain the shop I work at had in stock.

    Basically, I don't like the PC1 and I want something nicer and quieter. What do people like? A buddy of mine who is a messenger(he owns cheetah currier service in Denver) rides the Miche track chain loves it.

    My favorite decently priced chain is the KMC Inox, very smooth and quiet. Sram PC1 chains are awful, I don't know how something can be so awful. I like their geared chains perfectly fine.

    I think I've used a miche chain and it was nice and quiet as well. You'll have to make sure that some of that noise isn't just coming from putting a new chain on a worn chainring and cog, but that's just a side note because those chains are noisy even on a new bike

    The cog and chain ring aren't worn. I switched to the pc1 temporarily cause my older KMC was stretched to hell and I needed to have a chain to ride myself home : (

    Any one have good experience with the Izumi chains?

    Yes! The cheap Izumi chain is leaps and bounds better then any other chain under 50 bucks. I have been riding one for 6 months now and it has not streched at all- and you know what a fat ass I am- I stretch those KMC chains in 3 or 4 rides. It is also a very quiet chain.

    KMC 610HX is holding up well so far. Damn quiet. Way better than the 410Z I had before.

    KMC K710SL, ive been riding it for about 8 months now, its still nice and quiet and unstretched.i like em.its smoooooth

    +1 on kmc Z610HX. Doesn't stretch as quickly as the blue kmc i had previously (don't know the model). i got if for like 15 bucks off amazon.
