Hey y'all, I was thinking about replacing my Araya ADX-4's with Campy Atlantas. I have a 1983 3rensho SR and my LBS says to stick to the Araya's. I know that Atlanta's are the trendy thing to do, thoughts anyone?

stick with the arayas. most of the atlantas only have 16 holes and they are expensive as hell and thats if you can find them

I already have the Atlanta's! One of my buddies will even rebuild my wheels for me. It's just going through with it and putting my roadie out of commission for a few days (weeks).

oh...... i also just remembered that the adx-4 is tubular so the atlantas are prolly better for the street

Atlantas are plenty easy to find with normal hole patterns, I think you're thinking of Shamals.

I built up a wheel with an atlanta rim once, it was nice, but I'm pretty sure it was heavier than a velocity deep V.

According to Yellow Jersey, the ADX-4's were standard issue for my bike. Guess, I'll put the atlanta's somewhere else.
