General: just bought a GIOS Super Record Torino, TEAM BLUE

I picked this frame up for 100 dollars was that a good deal or did I get ripped off?

Here is what the frame came with:
Columbus Tubing and Fork
Campy dropouts front and back
Campy BB
Campy HS

I'm pretty sure all the campy stuff on it is Super Record because from what I know it was used in the 81 Italian Race not sure which one though.

Yeah man the more I research this frame the more I am realizing that this bike has A LOT of history and made for one person and one person only and fits me perfect.

Yeah, a $100 Gios sounds like a big score, assuming it's legit and undamaged. It'll be easier to comment once we can see photos. If you haven't done this already, it's worth taking a look at the ClassicRendezvous and Sheldon Brown entries on Gios Torino.

What's the Columbus tubing type? If that info is on the decal, that may help to narrow down the date.

im pretty sure the tubing is SL if im not mistaken. I'll post pictures tonight it's not the original paint on it but it's definitely a professional paint job. it's got pearlescent paint on it right now. red fade to pearl white.

Thanks Eagle but I have already checked those websites in my extensive research of this frame. I would really like to find some kind of GIOS Database / Serial number lay out so I can actually determine things about the bike. If anyone knows the Serial layout / Database of serials let me know.
