OK, Im thinking of getting a bmx bike, I will be a beginner, I like to buy nice frames and componets, but I know that I will be beating it up in process, so I dont need something super nice to start off with. But I have a question, here it is
I was curious if any of you ride freeride bikes on bmx courses? how do they do there, do they perform like they should, or do they not belong, as a bmx bike would? advice please!!
Next question, here it goes.
What type of bike, or frame, and componets would you reccommend?
Thanks!! -

freeride bikes at skateparks are a touchy subject like tricks on fixed gears.... -

Yea I kinda figured that, I dont do any tricks on my fixed gears, I dont like ruining my frames or parts to do some tricks. That is why I needed the advice.
Anyone else care to share their opinion?, Thanks -

I recommend S&M frames and Parts.... I had a 93 S&M Dirt Bike frame with a S&M Redneck, bought it used in 2007 and rode it until I got out of BMX. Held up Nicely... -

S&M was a nice bike in the day, but the new ones are cheap Performance Bicycle crap. They are owned by Fuji now if I recall...... -

James:
if you are just getting into it you are probably better off buying a nice used ride off craigslist. most people stop riding by their early 20s and you can snatch up some really good deals. don't be afraid to buy a couple of shitty bikes for parts, esp. haros. you know some one gets one for christmas, they start to kind of like it so they save up and buy a profile crankset.... then turn 16 buy a car and sell you their bike for like 50 bones. re-sell the ride keep the nice parts.
then just wait for a new frame or complete comes up buy that fella! -
