I'm sure others are probably already aware, but I figured I'd throw this out there:
I'm having issues loading the main page (it loads an empty document), and have to access the forums via the direct URL. Is anyone else experiencing this behavior? -

been like that for a couple days -

Yeah, it does that for me while I'm at home, but it works perfectly fine while I'm at work, which was making me wonder if my computer was broken. Unfortunately, it just means I have to spend my work time looking at bicycles. -

Agreed, it's bust after edits too. Loading new pages is fine though and the edits are made. It's just an annoyance. -

VERY unfortunate. I feel the utmost sympathy for you. lol I used to have to get my daily bike fix on dial up while fighting the barracuda web filter the entire time. Times were tough.
And yeah I got the blank page while trying to post a comment. Should I go ahead and assume that comment was never posted? Or should I assume that it did post each of the 5 times I hit submit? -

FYI: every time you hit "post comment" and it goes blank, it's posts that comment. Anyone know how delete comments? -

Ok, the major error has been fixed - you can now access velospace.org by typing in 'velospace.org' without having to go to a direct URL.
I will be looking into the POST white page issues next. -

Hey, Greg, I'm certain that you could get good funding from donations. Plus, bringing back those grey T shirts. -
- CommentAuthorgreg
- CommentTimeMar 27th 2009 edited
I'm looking for a dependable source of income, donations are a good idea but they won't be regular enough to keep things going.
The grey t's were great and I'd like to sell them again. I need to find a good printer with a solid end-to-end printing solution:What the perfect on demand print shop will offer
High quality screen printing.
High quality garments of at least American Apparel quality for all products
Complete control by publisher over offerings for sale including ability to limit garment sizes and limit colors.
Complete integration into the publisher’s site end to end from catalog to checkout.
Competitive pricing with reasonable commissions for the publisher. $15 t-shirts with shipping, $35 hoodies with shipping, $15 cycling caps with shipping, and so on.
24 hour turn print and ship around time.
Fair shipping costs based on actual cost to ship, including multiple shipping options (USPS, FedEx, UPS, etc.).
I am hoping to find an alternative to Zazzle that has these offerings. In the quest for high quality merchandise I am not looking for a quick fix, I really care about the quality of the merch that velospace sells and I need it to be top notch. -

Who's asking for a refund? The forum asked about issues, i provided one. Squeaky wheel and all that stuff...
but i do apologize Greg. I'll be honest in admitting i did not consider your bills for hosting. I saw the forum topic and thought i'd vent a bit. Sometimes it becomes very obvious just how unappreciative, demanding, and above all, expectant, recent generations have become. my bad.
btw: T-shirts would be groovy.. -

No need to apologize - I appreciate everything you guys do around here. The site wouldn't exist without your enthusiasm, contributions, and love of bikes. -

That's some pretty tight spec for POD shirts, is the thing. For my own publishing I have a fulfiller ship stuff for me. If I print one at a time, my unit cost doubles.
This forum may be useful.
As far as donation goes, you could have donation drives. Increase pictures size for people who donated $20 or something. -
