The first ones, with the filled in center piece would slip and grind itself out. Next , the came out with the fsa pro crankset, but if you notice, the crank arm was carbon, but the spider wasnt, and over time it would loosen and breakdown. The just released their new crankset, finally being all carbon, super beefy, and looks killer. 144 bcd, 49t ring , a little pricey <$280.00>

i still liked the old ones better, and ive never had a problem with them. they were the replacements to the first ones, the groovy looking disc set, that started slipping on my roomate, so he got the replacements and sold them to me. i use them on my beater. those new ones look sleek! i may have to invest

Man, I am discusted with FSA for those vigorelli cranks- with the carbon spider. Someone needs to CNC some alloy spiders to replace the carbon ones with and make some big money. I cant believe those were not recalled, and will never buy an fsa product because of the poor design, and thier lack of concern to stand behind all the defective cranks they sold peopls.

Yeah , like I said, the first two looked cool, but were terrible designs , and both ended up failing.. This set is the cats pajama's ! Theyre light ,super stiff, and are straight sex

they weren't recalled because there was no need for a recall. not ALL the first ones were bunk, and they stand behind the ones that were. why recall something if they aren't all bad? a recall is a huge deal and alot of things factor into it. FSA makes quality products, and their CS is top rung.

I am sorry Otto, but You are incorrect. Do some research before you post. A carbon spider fitted to an alloy bone with a lock ring is going to wear loose over time PERIOD!!. perhaps you dont ride yours enough, or dont understand the defect. If you do a little research you will find a TON of unhappy people who have written negitive reviews.
  3.
and what do you mean they stand behind the ones that are defective???? they are all the same!!!! Do you work for FSA?

yeah , the previous designs were totally defective . There will be no slippage with these new ones .
  4.
I agree, the new ones are sound and pimp. I am just upset with FSA.
  5.
They should send a new set out to anyone who mails them a set of the defective ones, that would be the only way for full slip ahead to regain my business.

I've used the carbon spider FSA vigorelli cranks for 3+ years without a problem. Not all FSA Vigorelli cranks suck

I have 3 friends that have all had the previous versions, and all of em failed.. so maybe you got lucky.
  7.
hey greg, they are all defective. You must not ride hard. We could go around forever about it, but I offer this. Send them too me. If I cant ruin them in one weeks time then I will buy you a set of the new ones. But if I am able to trash them, you have to fly me out to you and let me drag my sack across your face.
