General: Black frame with lime green deep v hate.

I apologize to anyone rocking this color combo, but I really hate the black bike with lime green deep vs and I feel like venting about it. Call me an asshole if you will and tell me how much my bike sucks but I just think far too many people go with this color combo and it's actually getting annoying. Yes, I know, I've got too much time on my hands, no life, blah blah blah but that's what I'm doing on a forum. If anyone else feels this way, let's diss it together or let's talk about any other typical color combos you hate.(all white and black included) muahah

I don't hate this color combination, but it definitely doesn't appeal to me anymore. I'm tired of seeing completely black bikes, although I'll admit I do understand the appeal. i'd really like to have some all black wheels, spokes and nipples included.

The one pattern I used to get pretty tired of, was the million bareknuckles I'd seen that all had miche groups on them, and not picking on your bike, but they all seemed to have thompson stems as well.

The one thing that currently drives me nuts, is 650 front wheels with stubby mtb stems.

ooh, oh, any light color, such a baby pink/blue/green mixed with brown. Not just bikes, those colors always look awful together

Black/Gold

Black/White

Black/Any electric color

Black/Anything except anodized silver

Pick a frame/fork color and all black components, with silver spoke nipples. That's where it's at. And that perforated Cinelli bar tape that looks like a steering wheel cover is always welcome.


Another tired combo:

FTP/Pista Concept/etc. with a 50mm Thomson stem, Deep Vs to Phils, Gatorskins, a bar that's narrower than the seatpost is long, Sugino 75s.

Not saying there is anything wrong with that, just a little unoriginal. And the thing I hate most are:

BROOKS SADDLES. Uhgggg. Nothing makes me want to puke more than a modern bike with a brooks saddle. They have theire place, and let's just say it involves slightly rusty frames and sepia tone. They remind me of Yankee Stadium in the 'twenties for some reason.

chopped brooks b17's look pretty good to me on modern bikes. but yes, a normal b17 on a modern bike = PUKE.

I FUCKING HATE BMX FORKS ON TRACK BIKES. get a 650c and stop complaining. AND THREADLESS DROP STEMS. THERE IS NO WAY IN HELL THATS COMFORTABLE.

to each his own. if you want to worry about something, flip through business week or the WSJ, quit fuggin' worrying about people aesthetic choices. to each his own.

it was a mockery of your first post. hating someone for color choice is just dumb as fuck. don't hate on someone's taste. that's ignorant. it may not be your choice, but that's the joy of being human - freewill. my kid sister similarly judges cars by color, too. and she's 4.

ok otto, since you think I said I hate someone personally because of the color of their bike, your comments are pretty much irrelevant. I clearly stated that I hate that color combo. It had nothing to do with any individual. mmmkkkk. And I admit, me publishing my opinion of a certain color scheme is probably a big waste of time, but don't you think you telling us how ignorant we are for doing so is just as much a waste of time?
