Looking for a used quill-style seatpost for my Schwinn 754. I believe that Selcof makes them. Any other manufacturers out there? Any for sale?

Schwinn had frames with quill posts. I believe a friend with a 754 has a quill seat post by Suntour. I love the 754 frame, what size is yours?

I'd love to have one some day - the fillet brazes are wonderful.

    Greg:
Your bike and my bike are twins except for component set-up? 600 8 speed? Very nice. How does the 8 speed fit that 126mm rear end?

Currently running Suntour Command Shifters on a Suntour GPX set-up. 20 year old bike still running strong. Has anyone ever thought of doing a cutout on the seat tube and popping in a regular seat tube? Is there enough material to add a seat collar?

Suntour Expander seatposts are hard to find. They were a neat idea that just didn't take off. I had one on my Schwinn 564.

I had the expander bolt snap; fortunately, the nearest good Schwinn LBS replaced it for free (Schwinn still had the "lifetime warranty regardless of owner" policy; this was prior to Pacific Cycles getting their hands on them).

Ebay is your friend; it's probably the only place you'll find them.
