same quality... both chromoly just depends on what you think is more comfy or which on puts you in a better riding position. the major taylors give a bit more clearance for standing sprints but the nittos have clearance too -

i have both....major taylor 42cm, b123aa in 36cm.
the sizes are a big diff basically. but a b123 in 40cm against the major taylors....the MT is really wide. -

I have a pair of b-123 drops on my bike. Incredibly comfortable at every curve. I got mine for $30 barely used on craigslist, all I had to do was polish them up, and I was set. I wouldn't know anything about the major taylor, but the Nitto bars, I'd recommend to anyone that knows how to ride with drops. They're ultimately for track, but still have function on the street. Like the top part for instance, its not completely straight like road drops, but they still allow you to place your hands comfortable as close to the stem. The drops fit like no other in your hands. Really stable control. -

i have to agree the b-123s seem like a better choice for the streets with the flat top section you cawn give your back a rest if need be. the major taylors look nice but i think (never ridden them) that you would have the same ergonomic issues as with the deda velocita or pista bars, which are not nice on the hands in any position other than the drops.
on the track the deda velocita bars own the b-123s in stiffness
so... nitto on the road (and track)
soma for looks
deda for being awesome (and sprinting)
