So im looking for a stem thats shorter then the one i have now (90mm), i want to be able to do a wheelie. do i need to replace the stem and the handlebars? or either or
i actually found one thats 50mm. good?

I ride with a 100mm stem and don't have a problem with wheelies. You gotta pop like you mean it!! -

I'm running 44/17 and it only took a couple minutes to adjust after stepping down from 48/17. Both lift just fine. -

haha, ebrep1, I had that same ratio transition. I actually went down to 44/17 so I could manage to do wheelies easier + get up hills faster without losing too much speed on the downhills... -

as long as you have a decent flat section on your bars you should be able to do tricks. 44x15 may be a tad high, but shouldn't prevent you from doing much. if your current stem fits you, dropping 40mm will feel weird. sounds like you just need to practice.

cool thanks... yah i think im going to change the size of the cog to a 17 that should help... thanks for the help again
