I am looking to start building up a fixie, and I was looking at the pake compared to a Soma Rush or a Steamroller. I know the Soma and Surly have really good tire clearance, but how about the Pake?
  1.
28c was the biggest I could get on the Pake. It was not a bad frameset really. I had the green one with the better Tange fork. they are releasing a "dirty gold" limited edition one soon.

i like my pake and all. but in retrospect i should have sprung for an IRO mark v.
  3.
Don't mean to jack this thread, but what kind of clearance are we talking about on the IRO Mark V? I have heard 32c, but was wondering if anyone got 35s on there? I have some 35c cyclocross tires chilling in my closet and would like to not have to spring for new tires for my Mark V fixie/cross/demon shredder build.

is tire clearence your only determining factor between those 3?
  5.
I would think the pake would have the same clearance as the soma. Are they they same exact frame only with cheaper steel and less desirable welders?
